Reunions are important. They keep a family connected in a fun atmosphere. As Gen 2 was growing up, we got together every New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day with other Zettlers (Dad had 8 living siblings). Average attendance was well over 50 including 35 cousins!
Now the Joe and Helen branch meets every summer on Kelley's Island in Lake Erie. For some of us it's a once a year reconnecting process--we have to talk fast! In addition, there are smaller gatherings throughout the year. Whenever and wherever it happens, we laugh a lot!
